I was born in Poland and grew up in Baltimore City. My first career was in the arts as a dancer, choreographer, and visual artist. I hold an MFA in Studio Art from UT Austin where I currently teach in the Dance Area as an adjunct. I’m also a mom of two medium-aged kids.
For me therapeutic conversations are like creating a work of art. You start from an idea but have to be willing to follow the lead of the materials as the work unfolds. In therapeutic conversations I start with theory but let my client’s stories, concerns, and emotions dictate the route we take. My most important job is to be able to respond to the moment at hand.
My art website is here and I also have a Substack if you’d like to learn more about me: Reports from an Ordinary Life
